Circular economy in furniture – draft standard under consultation

In preparation since the end of 2021, the standardisation committee CEN TC 207, which deals with standardisation for furniture products at European level, has developed the draft standard EN 17902 which is currently under CEN investigation. The CEN/TC 207 WG10 working group, created to address topics related to the circular economy in furniture, which has been working on this document currently includes 13 countries and 40 members.
AFNOR has posted a link to consult the French version of this project: NF EN 17902 as part of a public enquiry to prepare the response that will be made by France to the current CEN enquiry.
The public consultation is open until 08/11/2022.
FCBA calls on all manufacturers, distributors, eco-organisations and other experts to study this document as it proposes rules for assessing the dismantlability of furniture.
