The CTB Fût de tradition Française certification guarantees users a traditional but innovative manufacturing process using stave wood from French forests in a sustainable manner.

Production control is carried out by FCBA, a totally independent organisation accredited by COFRAC for the “CERTIFICATION OF PRODUCTS AND SERVICES” under the number 5-0011. The scope of accreditation is available on the COFRAC website.

Below are the main certified characteristics:

  • surface condition, moisture content of the staves ;
  • types and dimensions of strapping, bung dimensions;
  • verification of the capacity, circumference and height of the drums;
  • ompliance with dimensions: verification of the thickness of the staves and the bottoms;
  • origin of the French oak staves;
  • tightness at the end of the manufacturing process;
  • control of the components: flour, strapping, ring.

This certification is based on a reference system which is both a working and communication tool.
